Here is another blast from the past taken at Mendon Ponds Park in 2007. Throughout the park there are nest boxes designed for Eastern Bluebirds. In addition to the bluebirds tree swallows use the nest boxes. These birds have beautiful iridescent deep-blue backs and white chests. I just love how they shine in the sun. Here is a fun sequence I was lucky to capture.
Here is a cute swallow couple checking out one of the nest boxes.
Oh no it looks like they are having a little disagreement.
And it looks like they both have something to say about it.
But in the end peace was restored.
I remember that when I was taking these pictures I didn’t really know what I had captured until I got home and looked at the sequence and then it made me laugh out loud.
I hope you have enjoyed this edition of Wild Bird Wednesday and will take some time to stop by the blog hop host too.
