Hi everyone it’s Millie & Walter here. As usual we are decked out in our official Christmas Card scarves for the photo shoot.

Our Wall is Full!

Our Wall is Full!

Millie & Walter

70 Snail Mail cards

16 e-cards

Total Card Count – 86

Mom & Dad

10

We ran out of room on our ribbons and had to tape some of the cards to the stone wall. Can you believe our pawrents actually got into the double digits? Their last card was from our Auntie Colleen and her family and she even put a note on the back of the envelope saying she hoped it pushed mom and dad up in the tally. As if they could ever catch us!

Saving our Stamps for Miss Lori

Saving our Stamps for Miss Lori

One of the cool things we did this year was save our stamps for Miss Lori of the What Remains Now blog. She explains in this post how the stamps are used to raise money for a Greyhound rescue in the UK so we ordered our mom to save all our stamps from all our cards. It was easy peasy! She just ripped them off the envelopes and saved them in a little zipper bag. We sent them off to Miss Lori a couple of days before Christmas and have already started saving a new set to send to her at another time. You just have to be sure the envelope doesn’t weigh more than one ounce to go in a regular envelope with just one stamp.

Just Another View of All Our Cards!

Some of our mom’s friends tried hard to bump up their card count and one of her friends even sent two cards! One to her and one to us so it just evened out. We just love getting all these cards and will be saving them to look at later in the year. Thank you to everyone that sent us a card and especially to the few of you that sent more than one!

Hi everyone it’s Millie & Walter here. We want to tell you about the great pressies we got from our partners in Jazzi’s Gift Exchange. First we have to thank Jazzi and her mom for organizing this great event.

First up I, Millie, will tell you about the pressies I got from Jacque at My Life With Scotties. I just love the super cute Scottie card.

That Jacque sure knows how to shop. Old Mother Hubbard treats, a squeaky ball with feets and, Frankie & Ernie avert your eyes, a snowman ornament. Now I think he threw the snowman in to get on my mom’s good side. It’s made from little balls of yarn and with my mom being a hooker…er…I mean a crocheter she loves anything having to do with yarn.

Walter's pressie from Stanley

Now it’s my, Walter’s, turn to tell you about the pressies I got from Stanley of Murphy & Stanley. Stanley is a super cool Dood and he definitely knows how to shop for a friend.

Oh My Dog! Stanley got me an antler and some Zuke’s Lil’ Links! These are great.

This is my antler! Whatcha got there Walter?

As soon as mom took the antler out of the wrapper Millie was trying to steal it from me and in no time this is what happened.

What? I thought we shared everything?

What? I thought we shared everything?

Before I could even blink Millie ran off to the bedroom with MY antler. Well that is okay because next thing Millie new this is where she found that squeaky ball she got.

I just love anything that squeaks!

Well I guess it all turned out okay in the end. By the way we did give both types of treats a taste test, but we are always too fast for mom to photograph it.

We both want to thank Jazzi and her mom, Jacque and his mom, and Stanley and his family for making this pressie exchange great. We sure had a Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone it’s Cindy here. First I want to apologize for not commenting much lately. As I explained earlier I had been crafting my fingers weary and then a few days ago I got knocked out by a very nasty migraine headache. Since I am finally feeling among the living I just finished catching up on all your blogs with a minimum of comments.

With that off my chest I thought I would show you our Christmas tree. You might have caught a glimpse of it in our previous post so I thought I would give you a close up view.

Daylight view of our tree

Daylight view of our tree

Yes it is an artificial tree and it sits on a table to keep nosy puppies away from the precious ornaments. We have had this tree for many years and I love being able to have one up and not have to worry about the pups wrecking it. One of our special new ornaments this year is the angel we bought from Mollie & Alfie’s shop.

First ornament on the tree

First ornament on the tree

She was the first ornament I put up this year. I just love her cute smile. Here are a few of my other favorite ornaments on our tree.

Yarn Snowman Ornament

Yarn Snowman Ornament

This yarn snowman (sorry Frankie & Ernie) is our newest ornament and was part of Millie’s gift exchange pressie from Jacque of My Life With Scotties (more about the rest of the pressies later). He is so cute and just what I needed to represent my obsession with yarn.

Lighted Bird House

Lighted Bird House

This bird house is really fun and I love how you can put a bulb inside to light up it’s Christmas tree and all the lights on its house.

Painted Glass Cardinal Ornament

This is a very cool painted ornament that I like to place with some lights right behind it. I love the way it looks especially at night.

Whimsical Dog Ornament

One of the most fun ornaments is this cute dog ornament I received many years ago from a co-worker. It makes me giggle every time I look at it.

Christmas Tree at Night

Here is another look at our tree with most of the room lights off. There are a lot of German Shepherd and Rottweiler ornaments to represent our Angels as well as a variety of glass and ceramic ornaments. I like to finish it off with a set of red balls and a red wooden bead garland that looks like cranberries strung together without the mess.

I hope you enjoyed seeing our tree this year. So far we haven’t found any ornaments to represent Millie & Walter but we will keep on looking.

Hi everyone it’s Walter here with another Christmas Card Count update. Dad wanted to see me in the Santa hat mom made so I put it on along with my Christmas Card scarf for the photo shoot.

Can you believe our pawrents have jumped from zero to five cards in just one week! Way to catch up mom and dad. NOT! If you look back to last weeks card count post you can see we have almost doubled the number of cards we have and are running out of room!

Close up of all our cards

Keep them coming! We hope we run out of room because that would mean we are very popular and we love seeing what all our friends from Blogville send us. Some of you were asking how we attach the cards to the ribbons and if you click on the image above to make it bigger you can see that we use paperclips. Our mom has some that are plastic coated in black and white so she tries to plan it right so they don’t stand out too much.

Cobblestone Fireplace

A few people also commented on our stone wall so we thought we would give you the full view. It is made of old granite cobblestones. We also have them on the front of our house but we will show you that when the weather is nicer.

We have to apologize for not commenting on your blogs much lately. Our mom likes to do a lot of crafty things for the holidays and has been working her fingers to the bone (details in future posts). We have been visiting and keeping up with everything that is going on, but just not leaving too many comments. We promise things will get better after the holidays are over.  It was hard enough to get her to put her hooks and needles down to do this post!

Hi everyone it’s Walter here. We liked Miss Madi’s theme of Tuesday Tally so we hope she doesn’t mind if we copy her to give you an update on our Christmas Card Count. Mom made Millie and I put on our official Christmas Card scarves for the photo shoot.

Hey why didn't you wait for me to take the picture?

Hey why didn’t you wait for me to take the picture?

Millie was upset that mom didn’t wait for her to be in the picture, but we can’t both fit in the chair. Mom wanted her to sit, but she kept lying down so it makes for a very long picture.

What is that white board for? I think it helps mom keep track of how few cards our pawrents have. A big fat ZERO! BOL!

It helps mom keep track of how few cards they have. A big fat ZERO! BOL!

Mom hates to recount the cards every day so she got out her little white board and is keeping the tally on it (you can click on the image to see it bigger). We actually got a few more cards since she took this picture in the morning.  I don’t know why she bothers to put her and dad’s names on the board since we all know they aren’t getting any cards. They are all for us!

We hope you are all kicking butt on your pawrents too in the Christmas Card count. We’ve mailed most of our cards and mom promised she will get the rest in the mail tomorrow so some of you have more coming!

Hi everyone it’s Walter here. Millie and I have been reading all about the Christmas cards all us pups and kittehs have been getting and we wanted to report on our collection so far.

131203 Christmas Card stashThis year we are hanging them around our fireplace. If you count the cards in the picture you will see 14 and that is because we have printed out a couple of the email cards we’ve received. We especially like the one from Dip Bridge and Elliot. Their mom is an amazing artist and painted a beautiful Christmas picture of her three pups (you can see it on the far right in the picture above). Our mom was thrilled by it and insisted it be printed on proper card stock so we can display it with our other cards.

* Now I have to explain what the footnote is regarding my pawrents card count. You see the other day a card came that was addressed to our mom.

Cute card addressed to our mom

Cute card addressed to our mom

It is cute and all with a puppy and kitty on the front, but when you look inside you will see why Millie and I split a gut laughing when our mom tried to add it to her card count.

It's from a pet store!

It’s from a pet store!

Do you see who it is signed from? That’s right Blogville, it’s from a pet store! And on top of that there was a coupon inside. Now we won’t complain about the coupon because they have to spend it on us, but seriously how desperate do our peeps have to be to try to pass off an advertisement from a pet store as a legitimate Christmas card?

Getting ready to mail our international cards

Getting ready to mail our international cards

On a happier note Millie and I have finished stickering and licking all our cards for our international friends. We put our holiday scarves on and took them to the post office. Don’t worry we are busy working on all our other cards, but we wanted to make sure we got the one’s out first that had to travel the farthest.

We can’t wait for the mailman to arrive everyday so we can see just how many cards we have received and how few our pawrents have not gotten. BOL!!!

Hi everyone it’s Millie here! Remember how we showed you all the snow we got last week? Well one of my favorite things to do is to dig in the snow. My pawrents always make a big pile of snow on our patio for me to have fun in and boy do I ever!

Oh boy do I love to dig in the snow!

Digging in the snow is a full body work out

Now the picture above is just a still shot of some of my action. I have compiled a video for your viewing pleasure of some real action on top of what we like to call “Mount Millie”!

Walter had never seen Mount Millie and he wasn’t sure what I was up to. You will see in the video that he is a quick study and learned the joy of digging too.

I admit it isn’t a short video, but it sure is a fun one.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

Mount Millie is smaller now since the temperature has warmed up a bit and shrunk it, but I hope we will have more snow soon so Walter and I can keep digging!
