Hi everyone! Today we are joining Dory for her Flower Friday Blog Hop. The last time we did a flower Friday we showed you mostly trees and shrubs so this week we are showing (mostly) perennials. Since we said “mostly” perennials we will show you the one shrub in our post today first.
Now on to all our perennials. Let’s start with some of the campanula or bellflowers we have. These are all blue or purple and bloom at about the same time.
Now sticking with purple we want to show you how spectacular our clematis is doing this year. We can’t remember when it has been so full of blooms in recent years.
We have a couple more blue flowers in the garden too.
Let’s move on to some white flowers.
It’s difficult to see the heuchera flowers but there are many tiny white bell shaped flowers along each stalk. Now let’s move along to a little more color.
The ladies mantle almost form a hedge along one edge of the perennial garden. Among all the blue and purple flowers the yellow sunflowers and pink cone flowers really stand out in our garden right now.
Last but not least our Stella D’oro daylilies have been blooming like crazy and are a hint of the many daylilies we have in our garden that are just about to start blooming.
We hope you enjoyed this edition of Flower Friday. Be sure to pop over to Dory’s Blog to see who else is participating.
So pretty!
oh how great! the mama always dreamed about a blue&white flower backyard… but sadly it never happened…. Butt now she can enjoy all the fabulous variations of blue via your blog :o)
Your flowers are just fabulous! Thank you for always reminding mom of the names of so many of them that we have blooming here!
Very pretty!
What a collection.
Ohhhh we love all the shades of lavender. The painters just painted our one of our guest bedrooms Minute Mauve…but it is the shade or two lighter than your Willow Bell Campanula. Mom said she always thought of mauve as dark…not this one
Hugs madi your bfff
We LOVED all your flowers. We would LOVE to have a Deciduous Swamp Azalea, Mommy says they would be gorgeous around the pond, and all the blue flowers. Tuiren is in heaven, blue is one of her favorite colors. And we sure wish our Clematis did as well as yours.
Oh boy those are some beautiful and unique flowers
Lily & Edward

OH, how we love all your flowers. Mom is fascinated by those pretty blue ones. You don’t see a true blue flower very often – yours are gorgeous!!!
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
I bet the hummingbirds love these. We are having a rainy day (week). It is nice to see some color. 🙂
We forgot it was Flower Friday! 😦 Your flowers are so beautiful! Our mom would like to know if you cut your Clematis back or just leave it vine-y?
I thought that said “Delicious” Swamp Azalea. Ha roo roo roo.
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

Your flowers are beautiful! We had our clemetis vine completely covered with flowers exactly like yours. But the windy, hot weather dried them all out, even though we watered them. Our day lilies and cone flowers are just getting started. We sure could use a good, long rain!
It seriously amazes me that you always know the names of ALL the flowers in your yard…I get them all mixed up and can’t remember much of anything…your garden reminds me of my neighbor’s garden here at the cottage. She has always had a gorgeous yard, but as she has gotten older and is suffering some health issues, she cannot take care of it as she used to…and it is not quite the same. How fortunate you are that your husband enjoys gardening too! Just beautiful!
We have a friend who always calls her clematis her Chlamydia plant and no one wants to embarrass her by correcting her. Makes us giggle.
Our cone flowers have spread all over this year. You need to come tend my garden for yours is truly a beautiful one.
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot

your flowers are just wonderful! your clematis has the bestest purple-blue I ever saw… a dress in that color would be the pawradise for the mama :o)
