Archive for November, 2018

Hi everyone! It’s Walter here! It’s time for our second November Chewy.com review. For our second review my mom picked out a toy just for me. Millie isn’t into playing with toys much.

There are two things in this box!

Here is the Frisco Plush with Rubber Tug & Fetch No Squeak Football Dog Toy. It comes in two colors.

We chose red. The other color is blue.

According to Chewy.com:

“Energetic pups have met their match with the Frisco Plush with Rubber Tug & Fetch No Squeak Football Dog Toy. It’s made with a tough fabric exterior and durable thermoplastic rubber for added strength, so it can hold up to some pretty tough tumbling during supervised play. Toss it or tug it—the football shape is perfect for playing tug-o-war and it has a built-in handle that makes it easy to throw for fetch. Plus, there are no squeakers so no matter how rambunctious your pooch gets while playing, there’s no extra noise! It’s the perfect toy to give your dog the daily exercise and stimulation he needs to stay healthy.”

Some of the key benefits of this toy are:

  • Designed for energetic dogs that need stronger toys, with sturdy fabric and durable thermoplastic rubber for added sturdiness.
  • Squeaker-less design lets you have all the playtime fun with none of the noise.
  • Football shape is perfect for tossing and grabbing for fetch and tug-o-war.
  • Toss it farther—swing the built-in handle to sling the toy even further for even more fun and exercise.
  • Hassle-free way to add in daily exercise and mental stimulation to help keep your dog healthy.

I can’t wait to play with this toy!
Hey Walter you should see what’s going on outside.

Check out the video to see how much I enjoyed this toy.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

After playing with this toy in the house we went outside.

It’s easy to get my mouth around it

Mom won’t let me chew on the handle

Fetching this toy is lots of fun

I need a little break after all that play

As you can see I loved this toy and give it 4 paws up (because that is all the paws I have) and I recommend it to all my friends. If you are looking for a new toy for your list for Santa Paws I highly recommend this one.

Please remember that every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

So far this one is holding up well. My dad brought it out to play with me the day Millie had her surgery and we had lots of fun together.

Millie wants to thank all of you for all the good wishes about her tooth extraction. Everything went well and she is recovering fine.

Hi everyone! It’s Millie and Walter here! It’s time for our November Chewy.com review. This month the first item we are reviewing is Merrick Fresh Kisses Holiday Mint Dental Dog Treats. We eat Merrick food every day so we know what good stuff they make.

There are two things in this box!

Let’s look at that box of treats.

Merrick Fresh Kisses Holiday Mint Dental Dog Treats

Chewy.com has these treats in four sizes. We chose the medium size for dogs that are 25 – 50 lbs.

They come in their own resealable plastic bag

According to Chewy.com:

“These unique, brush-shaped chews are the perfect way for your dog to welcome guests this holiday season—with fresh-smelling kisses that won’t put him on the naughty list. The special blend of coconut, peppermint, lemongrass and rosemary oils will help keep his breath smelling fresh, while the double-brush design helps to fight plaque and tartar. These tasty treats are designed to be easily digestible, with natural peas, tapioca and gelatin. Best of all, the yummy chews are made right here in the USA without potatoes, grains, corn or soy, plus absolutely no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.”

Some of the key benefits of these treats are:

  • Dog treats to helps clean teeth, fight plaque and tartar, plus freshen doggy breath with a unique shape and botanical formula.
  • Designed with a double-brush action to get in between teeth and help keep them clean with every bite.
  • Formulated with all-natural spearmint oil breath strip pieces to help keep your pal’s breath even fresher.
  • It’s easily digestible since it’s made with natural peas, tapioca and gelatin, with no potatoes or grains.
  • Cooked right here in the USA without including any corn, soy, or artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

Those are a nice size
I can’t wait to try them

But first we have to wait.

Check out the video to see how we enjoyed the Merrick treats.

Now a little P.S. from Millie

Don’t I look great against these yellow leaves?

Hi everyone. I have a little POTP request for all of you. I won’t be having any more of those great Merrick Fresh Kisses for a while but it’s not because I don’t like them. Today I had to go to the V.E.T. and they stole a tooth from my mouth! I’m doing well now that the drugs have worn off but I have to eat only soft food for at least a week. I would appreciate it if you all could cross your paws that I have a quick and uneventful recovery. Thanks.

Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here. We wanted to join the LLB Gang on their Nature Friday blog hop this week. These pictures were taken a week ago and show off some of the beautiful fall colors we had in our yard this year.

Backyard trees

The big yellow tree is our Katsura tree with our Linden tree to the right. The linden tree doesn’t really change color much before dropping all its leaves.

Japanese Maple trees with a Fringe tree in the middle

Let’s take a close look at some of those colorful leaves.

Japanese Maple with Barberry in front

Japanese Maple

Here is a closer look at the leaves on this tree.

Multicolored leaves on same tree

We love how this tree has leaves that range in color from yellow to orange to red. This particular tree has never looked so good.

More Japanese Maple Leaves

At the back of the yard is another Japanese Maple with the beautiful leaves you see above. Let’s take a look at some non Japanese Maple trees in our yard.

Stewartia (on left) and Hickory tree

Last but not least here is a look at one of our varieties of spirea we have.

Spirea leaves

We can’t remember this spirea looking this colorful before.

That is it for a look at some of our fall foliage. We hope you enjoyed our beautiful fall colors. Since these pictures were taken most of the leaves have fallen off the trees and we even had some snow today.

Be sure to pop over to the LLB Gang blog and check out the other Nature Friday blog hop posts.
