Archive for February, 2019

Hi everyone! It’s Millie and Walter here! It’s time for our February Chewy.com review.

What’s in the box this month?
I don’t know but it smells good.

This month we are reviewing WHIMZEES Brushzees 30 Day Dental Dog Treats in the large size.

WHIMZEES Brushzees 30 Day Dental Dog Treats

There are other sizes of treats available too.

Aren’t those tooth heads cute?

According to Chewy.com:

“Veterinarians believe in brushing every day, and we’ve made it easy with our new 30 day packs! Brushzees are made with ridges and grooves that can help reduce plaque, tartar, and bad breath, and feature the patented Pawfect Paw Pad developed to help paws grip the chew more easily. Brushzees are limited ingredient, GMO-free, gluten-free, grain-free, vegetarian, and completely without artificial flavors or colors. A Brushzee a day keeps the doggie dentist away!”

Some of the key benefits of these treats are:

  • Long-lasting treat is designed to keep your pup busy chewing!
  • Effective in helping to remove plaque, tartar and bad breath while also satisfying that natural urge to chew.
  • One month supply! Feed your dog one a day to support healthy teeth, breath and gums.
  • Limited ingredient chews are gluten-free, grain-free, GMO-free and have no articifial colors, flavors or preservatives.
  • Uniquely-shaped chews are crafted with grooves to help clean the smaller spaces between dogs’ teeth, and ridges to help ensure proper blood flow through the gums.

The box says there is a one month supply.

That one month supply is for one dog though.

We always have to wait before we start.

Check out the video to see how we enjoyed these treats.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

Well that sure took a long time. In reality it took Walter about 12 minutes and Millie about 15 minutes to finish the treats.

This is a big treat.

I like how easy these are to hold.

You really have to work hard to chew these.

Walter’s right. This is quite a work out.

Just a few crumbs to finish up.

I see Walter hovering behind me.

Millie’s treat must be bigger than mine.
No, I just like to savor mine.

Overall we just loved these treats and as a bonus they are good for your teeth. We give these dental treats 8 paws up.

Now here is a note from our mom:

Hi everyone. It’s mom Cindy here. I was very impressed with how long it took the pups to eat these treats. Their teeth and jaws really got a work out from chewing them. The only issue I have is that they are a bit pricey. A box of 30 in the large size costs $54.99 which is $1.83 each (smaller sizes are cheaper). To give these as a daily treat for both of the pups would cost over $100 per month.

Currently we give the dogs a Pedigree Dentistix (which are also available at Chewy.com) every day and they are more cost effective. I do think that the Whimzees would do a better job at keeping their teeth clean than Dentistix so I could see giving them a Whimzee every few days. If you are lucky to have a smaller dog then these would be a good option for you.

Hi everyone! It’s Millie and Walter here.

We love to snuggle together in this corner

We’re thankful that we’ve had a few days where the sun came out and warmed our favorite corner in the house. If the sun is out you always find Millie laying here. She likes to sit up and look out the window but after a while will contentedly crash.

I have to squeeze into here after Millie lays down

As you can see it’s a tight fit for both of us.

This time the bed is mine

Sometimes there isn’t room for two on the bed but Walter makes do with whatever he can manage.

I really prefer to have my bed all to myself

To be honest Millie isn’t always happy to have Walter squeeze in with her. If she doesn’t like where he lays she will get up and walk away. That usually causes him to follow so Millie will go back to her corner and settle in by herself.

We’re thankful to have such a warm corner of the house to hang out in and we really are thankful that we can do it together too.

We are joining Brian for the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
