Nature Friday – Snow Covered Beauty
January 31, 2020 by Millie & Walter
Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here. This week we had some of that snow that sticks to everything and looks so pretty.

Frosty trees in black and white

Alaskan cedar in snow

Is dad taking our picture, Millie?
I don’t know. I’m watching out for tree rats in the yard.

Nature photographer at work
Let’s see what dad was taking pictures of when he wasn’t pointing his camera at us.

Rose hip covered in snow

Frosty barberry bush berries

Hydrangea flower in snow

The birds love these frozen rugosa rose hips
After all the rain we had it froze with some interesting leaf formations in it.

Oak leaf in ice

Maple leaf in ice

Squirrel!
Are you sure because I didn’t see anything.
We hope you enjoyed seeing some of the nature in our snow covered yard this week.

Your photos are truly the best of the season – Again, I’ve enjoyed your snow pictures, and again, I’m jealous because there’s not a snowflake in sight for us. I wonder what Puxatony Phil will say on the 2nd? 🙂
Beautiful! We like it when the snow looks like that too. It’s started snowing tonight. Can’t wait to see what it’ll look like in the morning!
Love seeing your nature in the snow. Almost as good as having some proper winter weather here in Scotland.
Toodle pip!

Won’t be any of our snow that still is here around after Sunday, when the temps are supposed to be around 50F…somehow winter seems a bit mixed up this year around here.
Your pictures of frost and snow and icy things are beautiful!

We never heard of an Alaskan Pine, but sitting there covered in snow, the name seems appropriate. XOX Xena and Lucy
