Hi everyone. It’s Millie and Walter here. Earlier this week when it was raining outside we enjoyed a long wrestling match in the living room. After that we were trying to rest when the pawperazzi showed up.

I think I look great against this rug.

Walter was trying to rest when he ended up in a modeling session.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

I hope you like the results from all that snapping.

We hope you are enjoyed your Sunday and didn’t have the pawperazzi bothering you too.

Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here. There aren’t many new flowers blooming from last week but we have some beautiful pictures to show you.

Let’s see some beautiful flower pictures.

We call this our “School Bus” Yellow Daylily

Pink daylily with coreopsis background.

Here is a picture of what happens after the flowers bloom on one of our plants.

Hypericum androsaemum ‘Albury Purple’ berries

Don’t the flowers behind me kind of look like Christmas lights?
That’s how you do “Christmas in July”!

We hope you enjoyed a look at some of the nature in our yard this week.

Hi everyone. It’s Millie and Walter here. We aren’t spending much time outside today as we are under a heat advisory but we sure are thankful for a working AC system.

In addition to our selfies, we thought we would show you some black and white flower pictures for a change of pace.

Now here are our selfies.

I look good in color or sepia

Being a black dog I always look good in monochrome.

We hope you are enjoying your Sunday and staying cool.

We’re joining The Cat on My Head for their Selfie Sunday blog hop and want to extend our sympathies to the Cat on My Head family as they lost their sweet Mau recently and are dedicating this weeks blog hop in his memory. You should check out the hop to see some of the other selfies. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone! The hot weather is continuing here this week but we’ve been making sure to keep our flowers watered so they keep on blooming. Here are a few of the things in bloom right now.

Campanula Glomerata

Rozanne Geranium

We have quite a few hosta and they are blooming nicely. The hummingbirds just love these.

Next up is a Rodgersia flower.

Last but not least is the newest resident in our perennial garden.

Geum – Totally Tangerine

This perennial is supposed to continue to bloom if you regularly dead head the flowers so we will keep you posted on whether it keeps its promise.

We hope you enjoyed a look at what is blooming in our yard.

Hi everyone! It’s Cindy here. Well, I’ve finally finished the Kaleidoscope Blanket and I love it.

Completed Kaleidoscope Blanket

The last time I showed you this blanket I only had the border left to do.

I love the stripes on the border.

The border was very easy to make with mostly “V” stitches.

The edge is finished with a picot stitch.

I like how the border has a zig zag look.

The back of the afghan, while not as beautiful as the front, still has a nice look.

Back of blanket

All of the joining was done with single crochet from the back using the main grey color.

Closer look at the back

The joins leave small ridges along the back.

The blanket looks great on our sectional.

Without planning it we chose a colorway that perfectly compliments my Big Leaf quilt.

The perfect pairing of the Big Leaf Quilt and Kaleidoscope Blanket.

I’ve never worked so quickly on such a big project but it was fun working along with thousands of other hookers around the world. I’m so happy with how the blanket turned out and I can’t thank the designer Catherine Bligh enough for such a great pattern.
