Nature Friday – Reflections on Autumn

Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here. Sometimes we let our parents leave home without us to take pictures.

Here is a great picture of us.
We don’t know why our parents want to take pictures of anything else.

Mom and dad went to one of their favorite spots for photography recently and dad got these shots.

These pictures are so cool. They look like an impressionist painting.

These trees are just starting to turn color

You may be wondering how does our dad get these pictures. Keep scrolling and we will reveal his secret.

Here is one last picture before we show you how it’s done.

Reflection of a Girl Reading With Her Dog

All of the pictures above were taken of just the reflection of the subject in the water. When our dad processes them he flips them so they look like they are right side up. Here is that same scene from above shown the right way up.

Here is the picture taken normally.

If you look closely (or click on the image to make it bigger) you can see that the young woman was hanging out on the bench with her dog reading a book. What a wonderful way to soak up nature with your best friend along.

Selfie Sunday

Hi everyone. It’s Millie and Walter here. Last week was a mixed bag weather wise around here.

We had too many dreary days last week.

There was a record high temperature of 80° F on Friday and it was sunny all day.

At least we got one nice day outside.

Tongue Out Tuesday

Hi everyone! It’s Millie and Walter here. Sorry we haven’t been around much lately.

This raz is for our secretary.

There really isn’t any excuse why we haven’t been around except that our mom just hasn’t gotten around to it.

That’s no excuse to neglect our blog mom!

I hope you promise to do better in the future.

Well, our mom says she will try to do better. If there is any excuse it’s because she’s been doing a lot of crocheting lately. Maybe she will show you what she’s been working on soon too.

Selfie Sunday

Don’t worry it’s too cold for mosquitoes now.
