Flowers For My Love!
Hi everyone! It’s Walter here. Today I want to celebrate the life of my girlfriend, Tuiren, who left for the Rainbow Bridge about a week ago.
We enjoyed many Blogville events together and I was honored to be her boyfriend for many years. I know she is feeling young and frisky now that she is romping over the Bridge and someday, we will be reunited.
In honor of Tuiren, I want to share some beautiful dahlia pictures my dad took over the course of the past couple of months at the Webster Arboretum.
The local dahlia society has dug out all the tubers and will keep them safe until they can be replanted next year.
As some of you might have heard there is an exceptional winter storm happening in western New York state, but rest assured we aren’t being affected by it. We had a dusting of snow this morning and shouldn’t get much more than that. Don’t worry though we are sure to get our fair share this winter.
We are joining the LLB Gang for their Nature Friday Blog Hop. You should pop over to their blog to see all the other posts.
Before I go, I have one more thing to tell you about. Do you enjoy getting mail during the holiday season and having more cards come to you than your parents? Well why not join in on the Holiday Card Exchange.
To find out how to add your name to the list just email The Swiss Cats ( swissneko AT gmail.com ). Be sure to include your blog name and your human’s name in your email. We think even our friends that don’t blog anymore could probably participate if you ask nice and reference your old blog.
Oh Walter, we were all really sad to learn about your special gal, she was a sweetie and gone too soon. Hugs from all of us pal.

Oh my, Tuiren will be blushing with pleasure up there on the rainbow at the sight of all those delightful dahlias!!! You did her proud, Walter. Hugs and wag, YAM-aunty xxx
What an elegant looking dog Tuiren was. I loved the tribute. I am very glad you are not going to get hit with that NY storm. It sounds scary.
That is very sweet of you
Oh Walter, that was such a sweet post for Tuiren. We know she would be very touched if she was here and give you a big sloppy kiss if she could. The Dahlia’s are gorgeous. Fenris sends his love to Millie.
Walter, what a lovely post celebrating your beautiful girlfriend Tuiren. Such sad news, but what happy memories too. And those dahlia photos are exquisite.
We are so sorry to hear about Tuiren, Walter. You were lucky to have each other for the years that you did.

Walter I recall all the Blogville events you and Tuiren attended. You two were quite the pair. The flowers are as beautiful as your Tuiren.
Stay warm..

Walter, we’re so sorry that Tuiren had to cross the bridge. THis was a nice memorial to her, as you continue to keep her in your thoughts and heart. XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
We were so sad to read about Angel Tuiren. We remember her and you Walter, way way back, we don’t but Mom and our Angel Hairy Slobbery sisters (Bob and Sam) and Angel Nellie do. We also LOVE the flower photos! Your Dad is a wonderful photographer! Wowzers! Sending you our purrs Walter! Keep being awesome! Purrs Marv
Java Bean: “Those flowers are very pretty, Walter ― almost as pretty as Angel Turien, but of course nothing is quite as beautiful as a dog.”
Charlee: “Except a cat.”
Lulu: “We’re glad you didn’t get buried by that ridiculous snow storm. Seven feet of snow, that seems a bit much.”
Chaplin: “Only a bit?!”
Beautiful flowers, to honor your sweetie, Angel Tuiren.
While we didn’t get the tons of snow that Buffalo and some other places got, we did get over a foot of snow at our den. Way too much.
Now its going to all melt as we are looking at 42F in a couple days, and rain as well. What a mess! Mudpie city!
So sorry for the loss of your girlfriend. I’m sure she enjoyed all the beautiful flowers.
oh nooo!! I didn’t know about Tuiren!!!!! I know you miss her terribly. Thank you for telling us, we knew her too!! Sending (((hugs))) and love
Run free, friend Tuiren. You will be missed.
So sorry to hear about your friend. Those beautiful flowers were a wonderful tribute!
We’re counting our blessings that the big snowstorm missed most of us here in the Rochester area. Hopefully that will be all for now. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
