Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here. We’re sorry we haven’t been blogging much but you know how difficult it can be to get good help sometimes. Well one of the things we have to tell you about is that our mom is abandoning us for about a week to go to a family wedding. She has promised to try to keep up reading your blogs but she probably won’t be able to comment on them. Don’t worry about us because our dad is staying home with us and we are sure we can con him into giving us a few extra treats while mom is gone.

Now we want to tell you about some crazy weather we have been having around here.

This crazy spirea is pushing out leaves a few months early.

Last year at this time of year we had our usual covering of over a foot of snow in our yard. This year we are way below average for snow fall and right now we don’t have any in the yard. Mom and dad were saying they can’t remember a time when our grass looked so green in February.

I'll get that bone out of there soon.

I’ll get that bone out of there soon.

We enjoyed some time with stuffed Kongs.

If I tip it up like this maybe the bone will fall out.

If I tip it up like this maybe the bone will fall out.

Then daddy brought out Walter’s favorite toy…the Kong Jumbler!

Hey Cindy are you watching this?

Hey mom are you watching this?

Walter goes crazy for this toy and will play almost forever. Here is a little video mom took of the action.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to see it.

That Jumbler sure takes some silly bounces

We have enjoyed being able to play in our yard without so much snow and we know mom and dad don’t miss having to trudge through knee deep snow either.

Well we hope to be back in action by the Valentine’s Day Parade that Sarge and Frankie & Ernie are hosting.

And just one little reminder…

Don’t forget to start sending us your stamps when you think you’ve received all your Christmas cards. Just leave a comment if you need our mailing address. Thanks to those of you that have already sent your stamps to us.

Hi everyone. It’s Walter here. With all the packages that came to our house during the holidays there were lots of things in them to keep the contents from rattling around. Mom and dad always let me have the bubble wrap, if there is any, to play with.

Walter - bubble wrap fun 1

Here is a little video to give you an idea of all the fun I have. The video is supposed to be embedded below but at the time of publishing this post it doesn’t seem to be working.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

I just love ripping all that plastic to pieces.

Don’t worry I never eat any of it. The best part is that mom has to clean it all up after I’m done.

Hi everyone, it’s Walter here. A few weeks ago we received a gift from one of our blogging friends Mr. N, the Tenacious Little Terrier. He also has a Facebook page that our mom checks on for us. On Facebook he asked his friends to caption a picture for a small prize and we won a penguin!

I think this penguin is almost as big as Mr. N

We have had quite a few days where it has been too cold to play outside so mom decided she would let me play with the penguin. I’m a lot like our friend Easy when it comes to stuffies. Scroll down to see all the fun I had.

Boy did I ever have a great time. I think Easy would be proud of my skills. It took me over a half hour to create that pile of fluff from that penguin. As you can see I was very good and didn’t eat any of the stuffing or other bits I ripped out of the penguin. After that my mom got her exercise by picking up all the trash off the floor. BOL!

Thanks Mr. N for giving me something to do on one of our super cold days.

Hi everyone it’s Millie & Walter here.

see beautiful logo

We are joining the {This Moment} See Beautiful blog hop this month hosted by Sugar. As you saw earlier this week Millie loves being out in the snow. Even though many people and pups don’t enjoy the snow much we both really love playing and being together in it. Here are a few more pictures from a recent romp in our deep snow. We think snow play is beautiful.

By the way our secretary forgot to tell you that the pictures of Millie from our previous post and all the pictures in this post were taken by our dad, Charlie. Don’t forget if you want to see a larger version of the image just click on it. Enjoy the show!

Hi everyone! It’s Millie here.  Our dad likes to watch British Premier League Soccer Football on Saturday mornings. Walter and I like to keep him company. Sometimes our mom joins us too but she is usually not really watching the soccer. We decided to entertain her with a little bitey face. Check out our action video below.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

When we were done we settled in for a nice snuggle with mom.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Our snow from the blizzard is almost all gone now thanks to a 50° F day but we sure had fun playing in it while it was here. A few days ago we showed you some still photos of us wrestling. Now here is a live action video for you to enjoy. Make sure you have your sound up so you can hear how crazy Millie sounds while she is playing.

If you can’t see the video you can go here to view it.

We don’t know where Millie learned her wrestling techniques but she clearly always has the upper paw in every match. Millie may have had some teachers at her foster home before she came here since she was a small pup in a group of large dogs. Whether it is learned or instinct she sure is Queen of the Smack Down.

Hi everyone! It’s Millie here. Remember the fancy “Rescue” bandannas our mom made for us and we said it was for a special event? Well now I’m going to tell you about it. A couple of weekends ago Boom Towne Canine Campus, a local training facility, put on an event called Fido Fest. Our rescue group Big Dogs Big Hearts had a booth there and we wanted to go say hi to our friends.

Walter gets some love from Darcy

Darcy is my foster mom (who I love very much) and I let Walter have some special love from her. She is a great snuggler!

We also got to meet some of the adoptable dogs in our rescue group. We are not sure what the name of the shepherd mix playing with me above is, but she sure was nice.

A dachshund we met

This cute dachshund was visiting there also. Sorry we forgot her name, but she was very friendly and had two other siblings with her.

More treats please!

One of the volunteers with our rescue, Melissa, was handing out cheese so we got in line for some. Walter wouldn’t leave her alone until she was all out of cheese. What a mooch!

BDBH adoptable - Jordyn

BDBH adoptable – Jordyn

This is one of the Big Dog Big Hearts adoptable dogs named Jordyn (you have to scroll down the page a bit to find her). She is real sweet and food motivated and kept sticking her nose in my mom’s treat bag. Oh yeah…she is also deaf. When she first came to the rescue she was a bit nervous but since being with her foster family (the same ones I was with) she has really come a long way. Maybe someone out there would like to adopt her?

Keeping cool in the shade

Keeping cool in the shade

It was a bit warm that day so I made sure to find some shade to rest in.  Now this Fido Fest was nothing like the Wag Fest Frankie and Ernie got to go to, but I prefer the smaller crowds that this event had. It also meant I got to spend more time with my favorite foster mom.

This coming weekend our rescue group will have our reunion picnic at this same place and Walter and I can’t wait to go!
