It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Nina made her journey over the rainbow bridge this morning.
From a young pup living with three German Shepherd dogs, to a frisbee loving only dog, Nina was with us for over 14 years. When our last shepherd died Nina became an only dog and loved being lavished with our attention for the past 10 years.
Nina enjoyed spending time in her yard especially in the past few years since Charlie stopped working. The two of them would spend hours working in the yard together. She will always be remembered for the softest fur I have ever felt on any dog, her quiet, gentle demeanor and for never having chewed on anything other than toys in the house.
Please visit some of my favorite posts about Nina to learn more about her.
I want to thank everyone for all your support over the past few months as Nina suffered the final stages of kidney disease. The past few days she stopped eating so we knew it was time to help her make her final journey and reunite with her sisters. I will miss our snuggles most as she was the best spooner in the dog world.
Run free my sweet girl. You were loved more than you could ever know. You will be missed.
I just had to leave a quick note. I am still out of town so I hope this works. I am so sorry for your loss of Nina. I know the house will feel quite empty. I have loved learning about her. Thinking of you, sam
Oh Cindy, I have no words to tell you how sorry I am but I know the pain you feel is immeasurable. Thank you for sharing Nina with us, we love her.
Know that we are thinking of you and your husband during this time as you grieve and heal. Nina will forever be missed and loved…until we meet again.
Hugs and love to you and Charlie.
Allison and Puddles
Cindy & Charlie,
I am just in tears over here over your sweet Nina. I’m truly sorry to hear this. I know she had one of the very best lives a beautiful girl could ever live. Your love and devotion to Nina showed in everything you did for her. I’m so sorry I never was able to get over to meet her personally. (Unfortunately I have my own burdens these days here.) If there is anything we can do, please let me know. If you even just need a snuggle from some little Doxie’s give me a call and we’ll make it work.
A safe journey home to Heaven Nina…
Hugs,
Kim, Lily Belle & Muffin
Cindy….my heart aches for you and Charlie. Oh good grief…only other pet owners understand the unconditional love of a pet. Your love and devotion and care for Nina over the last few weeks let her know how much you cared. She left this world knowing she was loved and probably she gave twice as much love right back.
God bless you and Charlie as you get through this difficult time. Dog is God spelled backwards and that is because the both love us unconditionally.
Hugs and shared tears,
Madi and Cecilia
Run free sweet beautiful Nina pain free and may the wind blow gently on your face.
I receive your blog via email and when I saw the email subject title all I could say was, no no no no.
Miss Fendi HoneyBuzz and I send our most heartfelt sympathies to you and Charlie. Cherish the memories and know that love never leaves. It stays forever in our hearts — until we all meet again.
Sending you much love – Maureen & Fendi

Oh, we’re so sorry this is so late! We are so upset to hear about NIna – although we knew that this was the best thing for her. She could not have asked for a better, fuller life or to have been more loved. Very belated hugs and slobbers from Honey – I know it will take time but I know that you will also have many memories to treasure.
