Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here. We each have something to be thankful for this week. Millie will start us off.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been 11 years since I came to my forever home!
I was a little scared at first. When my foster parents left me at my new home I cried until I fell asleep, but when I woke up, I wasn’t scared any longer because I knew my new parents would love me forever. As you can see in the picture above, I was a small pup with floppy ears when I first got here.
Over the years I’ve added some grey to my muzzle and my ears are now both standing up! I’ve enjoyed every minute of being in my forever home, especially with Walter by my side. Now I’ll turn the post over to him.
This week I’m thankful for another year on this earth. I turned eleven this week, but I sure don’t feel old. I still can run at top speed around the yard, although mom and dad discourage it because they’re afraid I might hurt something, and I still jump like my legs are pogo sticks when I’m excited.
My face might not have much black on it like I did when I was a puppy, but I’m still a puppy at heart.
We couldn’t be more thankful to be here in this home for as long as we have and celebrate an eleventh Gotcha Day (Millie) and an eleventh birthday (Walter). We’re joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop and want to remember Brian, the blog hops’ name’s sake, who went to the Bridge earlier this week. You should stop by and see what everyone else is thankful for today.
