Tasty Tuesday – We are Winners!

Hi everyone! It’s Millie & Walter here again. We are on a roll this week two posts in two days!

A little while ago our friend Bentley from Barking from the Bayou (if you don’t already know him you should go visit) had a giveaway and we won!

Instinct Raw Boost Munchies

As you see in the note Bentley’s mom told us to “enjoy” the treats. Well we sure did but first we had to pose for the obligatory pictures.

Come on mom…just open the bag!

These sure do smell good. Even through a sealed bag.
Please don’t make us wait too long.

The bag even tastes good.

I’ll grab the top and you grab the bottom.
Maybe we can rip this bag open.

Finally our mom used her thumbs and opened the bag for us.

Oh yeah! Nom, nom, nom!

Let me lick any left over crumbs off your hand mom.

Our Winning Ways – The Big Prize!

Hi everyone, it’s Cindy here to tell you about our last give away win (for now). This one was a big one and didn’t involve any dog toys or treats so I figured I would tell you about it instead of Millie & Walter. I was visiting one of the new (to us) blogs we learned about from this years Christmas Card exchange, Dolly the Doxie, and their blog along with a few other blogs got together and were giving away a $175 gift card to Amazon.com.

They asked you to comment on what you would get if you won so I entered my comment saying I would buy some books for my Kindle. I probably did a few other of the Rafflecopter things and then forgot all about it. That is until I received an email that said I had won!

Yep, that Cynthia W. is me! Do you see how many total entries they had? Over 11,000 and by luck I was the one who won! Okay it isn’t the Mega Millions or anything like that, but I never win something this good. Well at least not until then.

My head start to swirl thinking about all the cool things you could buy on Amazon.com, but what to get? I made the fatal mistake of telling Charlie about my windfall and he had an idea about how to spend the gift card.

Festool Orbital Sander

That’s right Blogville I spent my gift card on an orbital sander for Charlie.

Now for those of you not familiar with power tools I have to tell you that Festool is a high end brand that NEVER has sales. The idea of getting one with “free” money sounded good and it solved the problem of trying to figure out what to get Charlie for Christmas. I asked Charlie what he needed this for and this was his answer:

You may have to click on the image above to make it bigger to see, but we have lived in our house for over 23 years and have been owned by a total of 7 dogs during that time. Many of our windows, especially on the first floor, have low windowsills and like this picture shows many have seen their share of wear and tear over the years. Of course it doesn’t help to have pesty chipmunks teasing the dogs just outside the window either.

I guess it really was a good thing to spend our gift card on a power tool that will help make our house look better. Now we just have to figure out how to keep the pups from getting excited when they see the critters outside the windows. With such low sills it’s difficult for them not to want to put a paw on it. Well at least now we can just sand away any new damage.

Thank you Dolly the Doxie and all your friends for having this great give away. I can’t believe how lucky December has been for us. Oh yeah, I hinted at the beginning that this might not be the end of it, well about a week ago we learned that we won some more treats from another blogger. We will do a post after the goods have been received and we can do a taste test.

You know what they say, “You gotta be in it to win it!” I think I need to go buy a lotto ticket now. Hey you never know!

Our Winning Ways – Toys from Molly

Hi everyone it’s Millie & Walter here for day 3 of our winnings! This time our pressie came from sweet Molly from Mollyragmuffin. You may know her sister Noodles of A Bowl of Noodles © better. Molly is a cute Maltese mix and she loves to shop. She explained in her post about the contest that she went shopping at a pet store just after Halloween and there were a ton of Halloween toys on sale so she bought a bunch and decided to give them away!

She included a cute note with her picture with the toys. We of course had to pose with them, but our mom didn’t want us tearing them up until the pictures were done.

Oh no Walter, mom said not to play with them yet.
It’s okay Millie. I’m just giving the kitteh a sniff.

Our mom wanted to make sure she got the tags off before we really started playing with them. Thank you so much little Miss Molly! We will try our best not to tear them up right away. If you don’t already know Molly you should check out her blog and say hello!

Our Winning Ways – Zuke’s Skinny Bakes

Hi everyone it’s Millie & Walter here to continue the tale of our winning ways. Next up are some more tasty treats!

Zuke’s Skinny Bakes!

This time luck was on our side with Riley from Adventures of a Cattle Dog. She gave away three sets of Zuke’s treats and we won the Skinny Bakes.

Can we get the posing over with so we can try them mom?

Now we had already won some Zuke’s Lil’ Links from Gizmo a while ago so mom decided we should try a different type of treat this time. There are three different flavors, but mom only let us try one of them.

Nom, nom, nom…these are crunchy good.

Thank you Riley! These are nice small crunchy treats. We can usually get our mom to give us more than one at a time. That sure makes us some lucky pups!

Our Winning Ways – Iams Shakeables

Hi everyone it’s Millie & Walter here to tell you about all the luck we’ve been having for the past month or so. We’ve been so lucky that we will do a separate post every day this week for each contest we won. We apologize for not posting about these prizes sooner, but you know with the holidays and mom’s crafting we just didn’t have time. Also we had to wait for some of the pressies to arrive or for our mom to use a coupon to get our pressie.

Mmmmm…what’s in the can?

First up are some Iams Shakeables that we won from Mister Applegate from A Tale of a Tail. We won a coupon for a can of these tasty treats just after Thanksgiving. We had to send our mom to the store to get them and she picked out the lamb flavor.

Why did you put the top back on mom?

Thank you Mister Applegate for having this great give away. We love these treats and mom said something about using them for training. They are nice and soft and can be broken up into lots of little pieces.

You can take the top off and give us another one now mom.

Well this is just the first post for the week. We love being part of Blogville and all the fun things that go on, but winning prizes is the best, especially when it involves food! Thanks again Mister Applegate!
