A Very Ear-y Situation
February 12, 2020 by Millie & Walter
Hi everyone! It’s Millie here. Recently my pawrents noticed something different about my ears. First let’s back up and see what I looked like way back when I first came to my forever home.

Notice how both of my ears are half up and half floppy.

Within a few months my right ear was starting to stand all the way up.

By the spring of 2013 my right ear was all the way up but my left ear stayed floppy.

Through out the years this is the way my ears looked.

Sometimes when my head was tipped back my left ear stood up on its own.

It looks like my left ear is up a little more here than in the past.

Within the past year my left ear has been less floppy.

Only the tip of my left ear is floppy here.

Here I am just a few months ago and my left ear is almost all the way up.

Look at me now! My left ear is mostly up.

We don’t know why it’s happened but most of the time my left ear has been standing more upright. It still goes floppy sometimes and I like to keep my pawrents guessing as to when it’s up and when it’s down. I hope you enjoyed seeing the evolution of my ear.

Well ear up or ear floppy Fenris is still head over paws for you. When I first came to live here my tail was always tucked between my legs. Now it’s mostly tail up for me. ~Tuiren
That is an interesting phenomena!
Dalton has prick ears…huge ones actually, but when the camera comes out, down they go! BOL!
My ears used to be the ‘classic’ Airedale ears too, butts you knows, I gots to be an original too, like you! I likes my weird ear, and I likes your ears too….you are lookin’ FABulous! WEG (weird ear gurls) UNITE! ☺
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Wow. Very interesting. Beautiful Millie!
Hmmm, sometimes better nutrition can make ears pop up. Or like Finley, aural hematomas can make ears go floppy. It are interesting!
wow you are a wonder pup!!! that is interesting to see… and please post a photo when the next change happens ….
Maybe it’s just that sometimes you have on your “listening ears” and sometimes you don’t! There’s a lot that is really not worth hearing …
And by the way (like me) we also noticed the arrival of some grey hairs over
the years, just a few, here and there …
Sigh. Yet, oh so lovely you are.

HAH – that’s weird, my angel Jade had exactly this same thing happen!!! I never did figure it out… whichever way the ears lay, cute will always apply! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Wow, that is amazing, Millie!
How odd. We’ve heard that as we age (peeps, too) thing tend to droop. Maybe you are getting younger, Millie. Xox Lucy and Xena
Wow, that’s pretty amazing. I didn’t know ears could get starched straight! Either way, you still are one adorably cute looking girl.
That’s pretty interesting and you and your ears are really darn cute!
Wow! That’s a lot of talent you’ve got packed into that ear! Awesome!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
You sure are a beautiful girl. I think one ear just took longer to stand up. So cute.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a woof woof day, Millie. My best to your peeps. ♥
That’s interesting about your ear. My ears are just both floppy.
Hey, we woke up lots and lots of snow this morning, and it’s still coming down! Hooray!
Millie that is a miracle…truly….most humans get saggy skin when they age but OMDs pretty girl yours is getting tighter.
Hugs Cecilia
That’s really interesting. We always thought ears went up as pups…if they were going to be up. But either way, you are gorgeous.
How interesting Millie…it does look good either way and it’s always good to keep the pawrents on their toes BOL!

Ooh, floppy ear syndrome! Or soon to be: it used to be floppy, but now it isn’t anymore ear syndrome.

Whoa! You really keep your pawrents guessing, Millie!
We think your ears are lovely, Millie, whether they are up or down.
