Hi everyone! It’s Millie here. For the past couple of weeks I’ve had to endure twice daily squirts of medicine in my right ear. It seems that all that rolling in the snow caused me to get a yeast and bacteria mess in that ear. On Monday I had a follow up appointment with the vet.
First the tech came in and stuck huge q-tips in my ears. Then she took my vital signs and asked my mom how I was doing. Unfortunately I was still shaking my head because of an itchy ear.
The good news is that according to the vet I still have some icky stuff in my ear but it is much less than two weeks ago. The bad news is I have to continue with the ear drops for another week.
I’m also banned from playing in the yard if there is snow so I don’t re-infect my ear. Here’s hoping you all have healthy, non-itchy ears.
We’re joining Comedy Plus for their Wordless Wednesday blog hop.
Millie we hope next week the news are much much better… and you can play outside without ear-ning something what needs da vet…btw: da phenny can show you the trick how to open the door of the torture room LOL
I hope you get better soon. Your mom is doing that needs doing by keeping you out of the snow.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. My best to your mom. ♥
She always looks so elegant. 🙂
How can anything as beautiful as snow be responsible for you having ear issues – that’s not right!!! We hope another round of meds will clear things up for good.

Poor Millie! That’s no fun! But we hope you will get the all-clear at the next visit!
Woofs,
Ollie
Geez, Millie, who woulda thought that could happen from playing in the snow. Hey, maybe you rolled in some YELLOW snow, BOL! Hope your ears are better real soon. XOX Xena and Lucy
No playing in the snow? Oh Millie, that’s too bad. But maybe not so bad if it stops you from getting itchy ears. And one more week of treatment is not so bad if the treatment is working, is it? So chin up dear!
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Beautiful sweet Millie!
Otic ear packing treatment might be a great option (especially for dogs with chronic issues.) One treatment last 2 weeks.
Well at least you are making progress and hopefully the ears will be all good to go soon!
Banned from Snow?: Oh No!!! We hope that ear clears up soon.
What a bummer, Millie. You were having so much fun rolling in your snow and now look what happens! Get well soon!
And there is fresh snow around here…hope yours isn’t so you won’t feel too bad…
Hope that nasty stuff in your ear goes away so you can have fun playing outside again:)
We are all so sorry about your itchy ears. Fenris says if it’s OK, he will bath them for you. We all hope you feel better soon. Healing purrs from the cats and lots of ❤ from all of us.
Oh, yuck! Sorry about the ear drops — but glad your ear is looking a little better! Here’s an idea – as soon as your mom puts the drops in, do the SHAKE-SHAKE-SHAKE real fast. My mom just loves it when I do that. Well, maybe not so much “loves” as I get an excited reaction out of her. Same thing, right?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
With cocker spaniels, we sure know about ear infections! For some reason, Chester is the only one of the four who has never had ear problems. At least so far. He has a vet check-up appointment tomorrow, and we’ll see. We’re glad to hear Millie seems to be getting better.
I wonder how much snow we’ll be getting in this upcoming storm? It seems we’ve had a pretty mild winter so far this year.
Arty totally gets it Millie! Hang in there and keep taking those drops and hopefully it will be all the way gone real soon!!
Oh no! No snow play? That must be the worst part, Millie.
Millie days like that makes you wish you had thumbs I know. Yikes Walter will have to have twice the fun in the snow.
I hope your alert ears will be all clear next visit
Hugs Cecilia
That’s sad. Why yeast rises, your ear could get bigger then your Mama would have to knead your ear. Pray you get all better soon.
Sweet William The Scot
Ooh, itchy ears. Not good to have. Hope it resolves soon. But sorry to hear the snow is out of bounds now!

Lulu: “Banned from playing in the snow?! That’s no good! Maybe you need doggy earmuffs or something!”
We know all too well about those ear problems! We’re going through the same kind of thing, so Millie is in good company! Our new girl, Hannah, just had a 30 day ear-infusion, so we don’t have to put any meds, or clean hear ears. Hopefully it’ll do the trick for her, and I hope Millie feels better too!
Take care, and by the way, still no snow for us. I saw and heard tree frogs this week. Don’t they know it’s too early for them? 🙂
